White House Makes New FOIA Releases

The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) inside the White House has made some new FOIA releases. The OSTP is also known as the Office of the Science Advisor to the President.

 These document releases involve the following FOIAs filed by Grant Cameron.

1. OSTP FOIA No. 12-27 which requested “The records of all e-mails and meetings between Jennifer Lee and anyone in the OSTP office related to the ET related petitions to President Barack Obama” and The Curriculum Vitae for Jennifer Lee.”
2. OSTP FOIA No. 12-28 which requested “All phil Laron’s emails, memos on the subjects of UFOs and ET (this would include the various UFO/ET petitions) from November 10, 2011 and January 3, 2012.

The two FOIA releases total 23 pages and three other pages that were withheld under 5 U.S.C. 552(b) (5).

There is nothing new or of great interest in the new releases. There was, however, one unusual e-mail from Lee Speigel  who is a writer from the AOL-Huffington Post in New York. In his e-mail to Larson Speigel writes that the first two UFO related petition “received an excellent response from you in November. I say ‘Excellent’ because I am aware that the ‘UFO community’ reacted in a mostly negative and unfair way to your response.”

The new White House material will be posted once I have finished with the 150+ pages of Goldwater UFO files being prepared and posted as this is being written.
