Flaming Pie is the tenth studio album by Paul McCartney, first released in 1997. Where did the word flaming pie come from? It came from John Lennon who tied it in to where the name "Beatles" came from for the band. Lennon said it had come to him in a dream - "A man descended unto us astride a flaming pie and spoke these words unto us, saying 'From this day on you are the Beatles with an A' Thus is did come to pass."Â John Lennon would go on to describe two very dramatic UFO experiences and an object that had been given to him by "bug-like" beings.
Does the pie on the album look like a pie or something else?
